Richard Wilson

Senior Law Costs Draftsman

Richard is a Law Costs Draftsman, based in our Manchester office.

With over 25 years’ experience in costs, Richard works with many of our legal teams undertaking various work including:

  • Precedents H, R & T
  • Traditional and electronic bills of costs
  • Solicitor & own client costs
  • DAS claims
  • Schedules for trials/hearings
  • Legal Aid claims
  • Points of reply
  • Cost negotiation

He has vast experience in high value personal injury work, from EL/PL, industrial injury and disease, asbestos claims, catastrophic injury, road traffic accidents to clinical negligence claims.

Richard also undertakes Court of Protection work as well as judicial review and immigration work.

Richard started his career at Hanlons Law Costs Draftsmen based at St. James’s Square in Manchester in 1993, training alongside the then Vice Chairman of the Association of Law Cost Draftsmen, Brian Brown, and passed his Associate exam in 1996.

He has worked in-house at a number of large solicitors practices, as a free lancer and has also ran his own costs business.
